Hello, I am Pastor Anna! I am the new pastor at Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church, and I am so excited to be partnering in ministry with this wonderful community.
I am originally from Indiana, and I received a degree in Religious Studies and Studio Art from Indiana University. I then spent a year in Eswatini, a small country is Southern Africa, teaching English at a preschool and partnering with the Lutheran Church in the area. I met my husband at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago where I attended seminary, and after we were married, we spent a year in Thailand teaching English. I, along with my husband, have enjoyed learning from and alongside many different people and cultures, which led to us to be Co-Pastors in Shishmaref, Alaska, a small Inupiat village 120 miles north of Nome. Our ministry in Alaska continues, as my husband is now the Pastor at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Anchorage, and I at COSLC. We have certainly followed God’s call to all sorts of places across the globe, and have learned so much, and we are also excited to settle down in Anchorage.
We welcomed our son, Aidan, into world the Summer of 2022, and love taking him on all of our outdoor adventures. We are avid hikers, bikers, kayakers, (and beginner skiers), and love all things outdoors.
I enjoy creating art, and incorporating art and creativity into ministry, as well as playing guitar. I love hearing people’s stories, and listening together for where God is at work in our lives, and what God is calling us to. May we continue to grow in relationship with one another and God as we praise, nurture, and serve together.
I look forward to getting to know you and hearing your story!
Grace and Peace,
